Head of Programme Delivery - Organisational Redesign - Business Strategy Implementation

Payments / Financial Services / Critical National Infrastructure

Permanent Position - London based / Remote

£90,000 - £130,000 + package - Salary Dependant on Experience

Our payments client have been on a journey for the last 12-18 months understanding their perception in the market from both a reputational & practical standpoint. That assessment had lead to a business strategy overhaul which has been recently signed off by the board.

The business now need a Senior Business Change Leader to deliver this strategy & take the business into the next stage of its growth / development. This Organisational Redesign is expected to shape the business for the future & allow it to become a recognised as a leader within the payments industry across the UK & world. It will essentially take the business from a Passive to Active leader within the space.

The business is medium sized at less than 1000 staff however this role & the changes the business make will have a significant impact to the industry. The role will therefore suit someone who has either lead a small but impactful organisation or delivered significant organisational redesign programmes across FS or within critical national infrastructure.

The role will involve:

  • Organisational redesign
  • Strategy implementation
  • Future Operating Model implementation
  • Driving internal business changes including the hearts & mind piece
  • Working with the board to implement business strategy
  • Driving the business reputation, its goals & message to the wider industry
  • Changing the market perception of the organisation through positive structural & operational changes internally & externally
  • Providing leaderships to the internally business leaders ensuring they drive the business strategy
  • Systemic risk management - key
  • Participant assurance

The successful candidate should have the following experience:

  • Leadership of large organisational change programmes across companies that can make industry impacts.
  • Experience at Programme Director, Portfolio Director, Implementation Director level across one of the following industries:
    • Banking / payments
    • Wider financial services
    • Critical national infrastructure
  • Business Strategy design / implementation experience
  • Board level stakeholder leadership both internally & externally
  • Regulator or governing body engagement / management
  • People & external reputation transformation

The person will need to be:

  • Able to command respect with the board & wider industry
  • Be tenacious & driven
  • Be able to work in complex changing environments where structure isn't clear
  • Well rounded through positive & extremely challenging programme experiences

This role will have significant exposure across the industry & gives the candidate the chance to leave their mark on the industry. The role will work closely with the board to drive the company wide changes.

Senior leaders who have taken small businesses through organisation redesign / growth are encouraged to apply along with industry Programme Directors that have experience in both Change & strategy.
