The role

After recently placing 2 HR roles with this leading Third Sector client over the past 2 months, they have engaged us again on an exclusive basis to help them secure another business-critical hire.

The reason for this exciting HR Advisor opportunity is due to an internal promotion. As part of a growing People team, the HR Advisory Team play a critical role in supporting the HR Business Partners in the delivery of the end to end employee lifecycle for a dynamic and diverse population.

As an HR Advisor, you will have the opportunity to work within a fast paced and highly innovative environment. You will get involved in a range of activities from employee relations to annual performance and pay review, L & D and policy and process improvement. Your work will help to deliver a proactive and value-add HR service to a population of about circa 250 employees, whilst driving best practice and ensuring compliance with procedures, policies and employment legislation.

This is an exciting period of change for this organisation and there will be some great exposure to a range of continuous improvement projects across the HR Function. They are really focused on nurturing and developing internal talent so there is always a great opportunity to grow and step up in the future.

What do you need to be successful?

  • Experience of providing HR advice at an HR Advisor level
  • A solid knowledge of UK employment law and implementing HR best practice
  • Experience of providing HR support in managing employee relations cases such as absence management , grievances, disciplinaries.
  • Be highly pragmatic, flexible and adaptable with an ability to tailor your approach to meet contrasting needs and demands in a changing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including political awareness and emotional intelligence in order to form effective working relationships with a diverse employee population
  • CIPD or equivalent

To be able to take on this position you will be confident in your approach, highly motivated, and delivery-focused . You will have generalist HR experience, ideally within a fast paced, complex environment. Whilst the client is open to sector, experience of working within a science focused, higher education, research, Not For Profit or similar environment would be highly beneficial.

Due to the nature of this organisation, this role will require 2/3 days in the office so you will need to be able to commute into Central London.
