Job description

HR Manager - 3 days a week - Part Time! This is a fantastic generalist HR Manager role working for a lovely media agency based near Covent Garden / Holborn.

Location: Covent Garden / Holborn, London.

Hours: 22.5 hours a week / 3 days a week, in the London office / flexible on what days they are.

Salary: Full time equivalent is £45,000 - £50,000 per annum

Job Description:

Stand alone HR position, one which you can make your own, working closely with the CFO and CMO in ensuring the smooth running of the HR department and ensuring the company is compliant with HR regulations.


* Create offer letters and employment contracts
* Complete IT new starter and leaver forms
* Send out payroll new starter form
* Run the new starter induction process, ie: set new starter meeting, goodie bag and allocate buddy
* Arrange check in with new starters 4 months into the role to raise any concerns
* Maintain probation documents- pass, fail, extension
* Review appraisal and 360 process. Ensure it is standardised and that all employees have a performance review process annually
* Run and provide advice on disciplinary processes if required
* Involvement in training and development program creation- in particular, adherence to IPA CPD qualification
* Provide advice on family friendly rights
* Ensure that we are adhering to IR35 with our freelancers
* Complete an audit of all staff HR documents to ensure we have signed copies of everything required on the server- may need to issue a change of terms letter to all staff to take into account change of location, change of hours and change of annual leave year

Skills and Personal Attributes

  • Proven HR generalist experience
  • Ideally doing or completed CIPD qualification
  • Experience working in an SME / small business / running HR in a stand alone role
  • Excellent people skills, with an ability to develop and partner with an experienced leadership team
  • Able to improve and implement processes
