Technical Writer / Technical Author - Events, Data & Intelligence
£300pd (Inside IR35 - Umbrella rate)
Remote
ASAP start / 4 months initially

The Role
The Technical Writer will focus on business change initiatives and new features roll out within the EMEA Product Management team. The individual will work with multiple internal stakeholders to support on discovery and documentation of internal processes and documentation of internal/external documents for all new product features.
Core Responsibilities
- Create and update technical manuals that describe specific product features of the PM applications.
- Produce step-by-step tutorials with graphics and images for internal stakeholders and clients.
- Work with the Product Management and Digital Operations team to document and define internal processes, BAU modules and internal training material.
- Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
- Work with team leads to identify all documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine the best solution for data compilation and centralized storage
- Ensures thorough understanding of business requirements and opportunities, 'As-Is' and 'To-Be' processes & procedures, contributing to the successful delivery of projects
- Participate and support in discovery workshops to facilitate analysis of current systems and processes and gather business requirements. Perform review of current non-standard processes / reporting and the impact on platform design and to-be processes
- Design and document process flows for the business solutions in scope for Product Management team projects
- Provide project level analysis - producing and reviewing required business analysis documentation (functional requirements, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams/process maps, future state proposals, UAT plan, QA plan)
Skills required
- Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills
- Excellent capability to gather, evaluate and understand business process & requirements
- Excellent documentation skills
- Ability to present complex information to stakeholders across all levels
- Experience with process mapping and associated software e.g. Microsoft Visio
