Project Manager / London Markets / Insurance / £550 PAYE


Our client a London Market insurer has a requirement for a Project Manager with Delegated Authority (DU) or Regulatory project experience to join their city based team. they are looking for this person to start ASAP.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Sponsor and Business Solutions team to support the delivery and creation of project requirements & solutions.
  • To undertake all aspects of the planning process and to maintain and manage detailed plans throughout the project lifecycle, taking account of dependencies and resource requirements
  • To work with all stakeholders, contributors and suppliers (including IT) to ensure project deliverables are met to plan and to budget
  • To create the necessary project lifecycle documentation, ensuring all project documents are complete, accurate, current and stored appropriately
  • To monitor, manage and report: o time and material usage versus approved budget for all projects under management o comprehensive resource forecasting versus approved budget and actuals o all risks, issues and dependencies and escalate to the appropriate governance groups as required
  • To manage stakeholders utilising the Communications and Training Plan to support the embedding of Change
  • To develop the Business Case in consultation with the various stakeholders, suppliers, IT and Business Solutions team. To ensure that the Business Case is regularly reviewed and updated throughout the lifecycle of the project
  • To contribute to the continuous improvement of the Business Change function


Key Skills:

  • Delegated Authority or Regulatory project experience is required
  • Project management qualification (preferably Prince 2 practitioner)
  • Demonstrable focus on successful delivery of multi department / business area projects including IT element
  • Good communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience of internal and external stakeholder management
  • Wide experience with project standards, governance and methods
  • Proven track record of leading project teams
  • Ability to work independently
