Job description
Investigo are delighted to be partnering with a PE backed Tech company in their search for an Interim Finance Manager for 6 months to assist with bringing their finance function in-house as opposed to having it out-sourced. As the role/responsibilities are project based, this will fall outside of IR35 and pay a day rate.
Responsibilities
- Transitioning finance duties in-house, these include: management reporting, financial statements and statutory accounts, balance sheets, VAT returns, accruals & prepayments, journals and all-round accounting tasks
- Understanding data flows and systems as you will manage the sales data
- Data mapping and reconciliations
- Seeking out process improvement and streamlining current reporting processes, including monthly management accounts
- Reducing the time taken to achieve month-end close
- Supporting the finance team to build out new reports
- Working closely with the FC to co-ordinate the project as a representative of the finance team
- Supporting the FC to prepare the business for its first year of audit.
- Preparing ad hoc reports and analysis on request
- Documenting processes
- Working with Xero
Skills & Experience
- Qualified Accountant with broad finance and accounting knowledge that includes production of management accounts and VAT returns
- Strong communication, influencing, collaboration and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to deal with data and systems. Data mapping. A focus on automating processes, ensuring they are accurate and timely
- Able to work autonomously and be curious and self-motivated.
- A team player with good stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with Xero is desirable. Experience of other leading ERP systems and implementation helpful but not critical.
- Global sales tax experience is desirable
- Experience working with stock is desirable
