IT Procurement Specialist

Our Client are looking for an IT Procurement Specialist to join their indirects team in London. This role will be responsible for hardware and networks being procured in a cost effective and efficient manner.

The Role and Responsibilities

• This role will sit within the Indirect procurement team, supporting the IT Category Manager.
• They will be responsible for a $10m spend per annum to procure Hardware and Networks, in the most cost effective and efficient manner for the business.
• Be required to develop stakeholder relationships resulting in early involvement in projects.
• Aid the IT Procurement Manager to identify and assess risks. Then agree with a risk-based approach to optimise time; effort; value and risk in each procurement project.
• Gather and analyse spend and market data that will support in IT procurement strategies.
• Do market analysis, run tenders, use data analysis and conduct negotiations to ensure savings are delivered within a best practice framework following.

The Person

• Will have at least 2 year's experience in an indirect procurement team
• Will have good influencing and negotiation skills.
• Some understanding of contract law and legal principles.
• Can develop category strategies in a supporting role
• Must have a good understanding of end to end RFP processes and be able to manage suppliers.
• Could be CIPS qualified or working towards
