Business Improvement Manager

Our client is a West Sussex based FTSE 100 organisation that currently are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Business Improvement Manager supporting a large area of their business. You are responsible to continue the development of the Lean Strategy and delivery to support the business. You will be responsible for the development of Lean thinking across Beverages by creating a Value Up, Waste Out mind-set towards Consumers, Shoppers, Customers, Colleagues (CCSC) and Farmers

The Lean Business Improvement Manager should be comfortable in applying change management frameworks to initiatives ensuring projects are implemented, fully adopted by the business and the business & people objectives are met. Working within the Transformation division, the purpose of the role is to build Lean Thinking competencies across all group brands & market so that business improvement initiatives are identified and implemented

As the Lean Business Improvement Manager you will deliver on the following:

  • Build Lean thinking capabilities in teams across UK&I
  • Creating a strategy to deliver Lean Thinking;
  • Lead strategic initiatives across the category;
  • Develop a CCSC mind set to help ensure CCSC thinking established across Brand offerings and the wider category business;
  • Support the business to identify, develop and deliver plans to increase Value and eliminate Waste in line with business metrics;
  • Drive organisational learning by creating CCSC focused development plans;
  • Identify and implement a strategy for problem solving capability
  • Create wider stakeholder group to support Go and See mind-set
  • Align to Virtuous Circle activity
  • Create Governance structures for Business Improvement Initiatives


To be successful in the role you will have the following experience:

  • Previous experience on large scale transformation from a business change perspective
  • Practical experience with implementing Lean principles across mutiple business functions (Sales, HR, Finance, Marketing etc)
  • Commercial mindset
  • Experience supporting change through training, communications and change assessments.
  • Excellent stakeholder/ communication skills
