Job description

Investigo's major client is currently seeking an experienced MAC Desktop Service Manager to join an existing team. As the Mac Desktop service Manager you who will be responsible for planning and managing the Mac desktop to ensure a stable, secure operational environment. The role will be to define and establish a working model that tackles the operational and strategic elements of the Mac estate. Reporting into the Service Assurance Manager Managed Workplace, you will work closely with all aspects of EUS and the Service Management function to ensure all aspects of design/transition into service and service operations are well established.

This role is fully remote.

Responsibilties

  • Deliver reliable and stable Mac End User computing environment.
  • Work with global business units to ensure that the estate meets unique business requirements within the overarching environment.
  • Work with Service Providers, Service Vendors and other Product Managers/Centers of Excellence to develop strategic direction and implement Mac hardware and software standards.
  • Manage the lifecycle of the End User Mac computing estate through various tooling capabilities to assure all compliance and security requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with key business stakeholders, IT architects, operational support teams and vendors to develop service standards, best practices, policies and architectures.
  • Continuously review the operational success of the Mac Platform through various telemetry and measurements.
  • Identify, define and drive areas for improvement in the operations and stability of the estate.
  • Assist and provide a point of escalation for technical issues faced by central, regional and global teams.
  • Provide assurance of third-party services across End User Mac Platform estate.
  • Participate and contribute to different Governance bodies where the operational performance of services and related projects are discussed and assessed.
  • Promote shared capabilities, global standards and corporate security policy to ensure all solutions perform, promote collaboration and deliver a secure environment.
  • Manage and review relationships with outsource service providers and manage and grow relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Understand evolving business goals, collaborating and coordinating with multiple internal business groups to ensure the successful delivery of service levels.

Key Skills

  • Experience with End User Mac computing hardware, software.
  • Experience with End User management technologies such as Jamf as well as other vendor technologies.
  • Proven experience in vendor management with large outsource vendors and contracts.
  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting business and its ideals and strategies.
  • Experience in the usage of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams) especially in a Mac environment.
  • Self-starter with excellent communications skills who can demonstrate a logical and structured approach to solving complex problems.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.
  • Strong analytical capabilities - ability to review raw data to identify patterns and meaningful interpretation.
