Management Accountant

Investigo have exclusively partnered with a leading FMCG business based in Oxfordshire to recruit for a Part Qualified Management Accountant to join their growing finance team. This role will suit someone who is studying towards an accountancy qualification (ACCA or CIMA). The successful candidate will be responsible for all management accounting and financial reporting. Duties will include producing the monthly management pack, preparing monthly accruals, prepayments and other journals, reconciling balance sheets, preparing financial reporting as well as assisting senior management in producing budgets and forecasts.

In order to be suitable for this role you must be part-qualified, with proven management accounting experience. It is essential to have excellent communication skills as well as strong excel skills.

Job Description:

• Ensuring the integrity of the numbers produced by review and subsequent creation and posting of accruals, prepayments and other journals in line with correct technical accounting treatment
• Preparing reports and financial statements
• Provide insight into key variances and review with relevant budget holders
• Working on company budgets, quarterly and annually
• Liaising with internal and external contacts to ensure financial control and commercial application
• Controlling and forecasting income and expenditure
• Assist in the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Build partnerships with colleagues within the team to ensure a collaborative approach and effective delivery of projects

Skills and Personal Attributes:

• Part Qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) and proven experience
• Organised, hard working and great initiative
• A great team player with excellent communication skills
• Strong IT skills and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
