Job description

My client are a well regarded Private Equity backed transport organisation based out of Central London. They are looking to add an experienced management accountant to their growing finance team. They current operate a hybrid work pattern with a mix of home and office working.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the month end process and ensure timely accounting and reporting of financial results.
  • Support the financial planning process by business partnering with some of the wider departments.
  • Prepare budget templates and analysis to support budget review meetings.
  • Completion of balance sheet reconciliations and schedules ensuring any variances are fully investigated and adjustments made accordingly.
  • Management of the Pass Through Costs ensuring the organisation meets contractual obligations.
  • Validation of Performance Regime settlements, stations finance packs and periodic reconciliations.
  • Own the Additional Services process in the finance department including recharging to third parties.
  • Weekly cashflow forecasting, maintenance of cash balances.
  • Year-end reporting - this will include preparation of Year-end files and assisting with audit queries.
  • Periodic bank reconciliation and periodic journal postings and preparation of Management Accounts.
  • Various HMRC returns.
  • Period end and year end roll forward of ledger and files and overall control of key files.
  • Ad hoc projects
