Part Time Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper

I am currently working with a growing business in Hemel who are looking for a part time (26 hours a week) Accounts Assistant to come in and report to the finance manager, working closely under the supervision of the assistant management accountant.

Duties will include:

  • All company bank account reconciliations including identifying entries and posting / importing of transactions
  • Maintenance & Posting of Direct Debits - ensuring invoices received and correct authorisations gained
  • Intercompany reconciliations & raising intercompany invoices
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Providing fortnightly asset utilisation statistics to the business
  • Other ad-hoc reporting as required
  • VAT Returns

Key Requirements:

  • Experienced Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant
  • QBE / AAT Qualified / Working towards CIMA
  • Intermediate / Advanced Excel User (Manipulation of large amounts of data / use of Look Ups and Pivot Tables)
  • Strong technical Bookkeeping ability
  • Proven eye for detail and accuracy
  • Ability to liaise confidently with colleagues at all levels
  • A hands on and proactive individual
