Job description

We are partnered with a full-service distributor specialised in solutions for chemicals and food ingredients, looking for a Pricing Lead to lead the strategic pricing initiative in the Netherlands.

The firm operates on a global scale, focusing on delivering high quality and cost-effective solutions to their clients. They serve three major industries with a decentralised approach to the local markets, allowing them to be flexible and value driven. The firm has seen phenomenal growth these past few years through numerous successful acquisitions.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced pricing professional to join a dynamic international organisation in an exciting role that allows for freedom, large responsibility and continuous challenges to confront. You will get the chance to optimise pricing through pricing analysis, governance and preservation. It is a newly created role, acting as a value-lever with great geographical exposure across the organisation.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop pricing programs aimed to maximise profitability across segments
  • Create and implement pricing strategies through deep analysis, recognise improvements and provide recommendations for implementation
  • Work diligently with other departments to ensure pricing is embodied throughout the organisation
  • Identify key pricing trends in the market and potential opportunities for the business
  • Characterise and execute pricing strategy toolkit and methodologies
  • Plan, synchronise and track pricing pilots
  • Observe and report pricing KPI's

Necessary Skills:

  • 4+ years in a B2B pricing position with measurable evidence of success
  • Background in industrials, advantageous
  • Ability to convert pricing strategy into actionable business plans
  • Capability of influencing sales organisations
  • Communicative and collaborative skills
  • Analytical mindset and a problem-solving outlook
  • Understanding of statistics, customer research and pricing techniques, desirable
