Job description

Product Owner role working for a Life Sciences organisation at the heart of the COVID response and one that is instrumental in the fight against Malaria globally. Leading a newly formed team responsible for the development of two cutting edge life science Software Products you will work with delivery and implementation teams to define the high-level product strategy across the group. You will be adept at translating scientific speak into actionable product development initiatives breaking down shared goals and ambitions into meaningful objectives that your product management team can strive towards.

Some key aspects of the role include:

  • Leading and coaching the product management team
  • Ensure product standards meet high-quality benchmarks
  • Create guidelines and processes for effective product management
  • Align the product portfolio with the scientific agenda of multiple groups across the organisation
  • Foster excellent working relationships and clear communication plans with stakeholders to ensure alignment of products to overarching programme goals.
  • Work flexibly across key verticals to ensure consistency and sustainability in the product management approach.

About you:

You will come from a Product Owner/Management role leading the development of Software Products. Being a leader in Product development and management with Software experience is critical to this role.

You will come with a proven and demonstrable understanding of the life sciences arena showing you are able to have detailed discussions with key scientific stakeholders. You will show Strategic thinking and the ability to see the 'bigger picture' bringing with you excellent written and spoken communication skills with the ability to explain scientific and technical challenges to many types of partners and stakeholders. You will be a quick thinker, naturally inquisitive with an insatiable desire to learn about the scientific organisation that you are working for with the ability to quickly understand scientific, technical and process challenges and break down complex problems into actionable steps.
