Product Owner

My client has an excellent opportunity for a Product Owner to join an extensive transformation programme.

Working in the "Labs" and building multi-functional, co-located teams giving them freedom to bring technology to the forefront of our business. This will help them create new, and improve existing, products and services to really make a difference to the customers.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to work across the end-to-end Product teams, helping shape the product and pricing strategy and defining the propositions that will deliver growth.


This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop or build on existing product management experience.
The successful candidate will form part of a wider team accountable for the development and management of Business Banking's product proposition, strategic investment and delivery of business objectives over the short and medium term.


Key accountabilities include:
* Ensure product and processes are compelling for customers and compliant with governance/regulatory policies and standards.
* Design/deliver/improve products which are compelling for customers, easy to buy and financially sustainable
* Monitor industry, market, competitor and regulatory trends to ensure that opportunities and risk are identified and appropriate plans are implemented
* Identify improvements to products and processes to ensure customer needs & financial commitments are met
* Ensure that products remain competitive and proactively manage the withdrawal/migration of products which are no longer relevant
* Represent Business Banking products on wider group projects

As the ideal candidate, you will:
* Excellent understanding of business analysis methodologies and techniques and their practical application, particularly analytical thinking and problem solving.
* Be a motivated self-starter with drive to deliver at pace and manage a wide portfolio of work.
* Have a rich understanding of customer needs, segments, trends, banking products and strategy. Regularly keep track of market and regulatory change.
* Good commercial awareness and analytical skills with ability to identify, size and explain business opportunities.
* Be a strong written and verbal communicator, with ability to influence and maintain strong relationships across the Group
* Effectively understand, assess and manage risk.
