Minimum Required Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience working with cross-functional (including technical) and international teams to deliver successful project outcomes (2 years min)
  • Demonstrable experiencing leading complex projects or programs (5 years min)
  • Experience working effectively within a matrix structure (2 years min)
  • Experience working with English assessment products - highly desirable

Minimum Education Requirement:

  • Graduate (preferred)
  • Project Management qualification - essential - (PRINCE2 Practitioner - highly desirable); additionally, Agile development experience or qualification

Purpose of the role:

  • Playing an essential role in delivering the client's English Assessment Strategy, the Project Manager (Proficiency) is responsible for creating and owning a central delivery plan across the English Assessment (Proficiency) portfolio, providing coordination across the various client entities that together build, deliver and market products.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Coordinating with product managers, technical/technology project managers, the Director (Proficiency), marketing, delivery partners and the Assessment management team in the construction of delivery project plans, ensuring their effective incorporation into the overall delivery plan
  • Coordinating with market development, product and marketing colleagues to ensure the effective planning and scheduling of key go-to-market activities and their incorporation into the overall delivery plan
  • Inputting to/supporting Product Council meetings at which product proposals and requests for investment in new products or product features or components are reviewed
  • Constructing regular dashboards and reports (weekly/monthly, as required) for circulation to senior management
  • Leading regular checkpoint meetings with delivery stream owners, identifying key deliverables and ensuring their timely delivery
  • Owning and maintaining a risk log for the portfolio, assigning risk owners and ensuring sufficient visibility of imminent risks to the projects
