Job description

Investigo are recruiting for a generalist HR role for a client based in Milton Keynes this role is covering the full employee life cycle, with a key focus on recruitment (60%), staffing and employment, employee relations, reward, performance management, learning and developing and compliance. This role has a key responsibility for ensuring the ongoing development of the client's business and their Connected HR system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for pro-actively managing the end-to-end recruitment process in the most efficient and effective manner
  • Provide reliable and considered HR advice to colleagues and Line Managers when required
  • Advising managers on selection and recruitment issues, including creation of job descriptions, selection process, person specifications and interview panel participation
  • Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and development of the companies connected HR system
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of all HR systems and practices
  • Participate in HR improvement and change projects
  • Participate in reviewing the Handbook and policy and procedures
  • Ensure that informal & formal processes are implemented fairly, providing correct guidance where needed
  • Upskilling and coach Managers in Employee Relations, new policies, and legislation
  • Support in pro-actively managing absenteeism through the Company sickness and absence policy for both short- & long-term cases
  • Become a trusted advisor in all areas of HR
  • Ensure all administration process are fully complaint and adhered to
  • Preparing ad hoc and regular management reports
  • Responsible for all HR systems, in terms of compliance, ongoing improvements and ensuring they are fit for purpose.
  • Always be responsible for own Health & Safety and others


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Technical Competencies):
Job Requirements

  • Proven recruitment experience
  • Solid HR generalist experience
  • Ideally good HR system development
  • Excellent standard of professional writing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and systems & digital technologies
  • Up to date knowledge and understanding of the practical application of employment law and best practice.

Education & Experience

  • Ideally CIPD qualified or working towards becoming qualified
  • Broad HR experience and/or a willingness to develop
  • Experienced with HR & ATS systems and E learning platforms
  • Strong HR administration experience
  • A strong commitment to customer service
