Job description

Investiogo Finance are partnering with a leading waste to product business recruiting a Regional Financial Controller based in Lochgilpread, Scotland.

In the position of Regional Financial Controller Lochgilpread, Scotland you will be respinsible for managing all operational and financial controls on the Argyll & Bute PPP contract to include:

  • Preparation of month-end accounts (includes approval of invoicing, processing of cash payments and journals), forecasts, cashflow forecasts and budgets including the provision of insightful variance analysis.
  • Preparation and submission of the following Divisional reports in accordance with Group requirements:
    • Monthly business performance reporting
    • 5 Year Business Plan
    • Annual Budget
    • Quarterly business forecasting (QMR)
  • Provide support to the Budget holders, which includes regular performance reviews and developing new and existing innovated ideas for Continuous Improvements.
  • Own and Drive cost reduction plans with A&B operations team
  • Demonstrate personal input by Pro-actively driving an improved safety and environmental compliance culture.
  • Lead the roll out and adoption of problem solving through root cause analysis and countermeasure within the A&B contract to improve profitability
  • Proactively engage with site teams working with them on local opportunities to improve the bottom line
  • Preparing financial data associated with Contract Variations and other financial contractual matters
  • Preparation of monthly/bi-annual and annual reporting to the Local Authority in line with the PFI contract.
  • Preparation of monthly/quarterly submissions to the Funders.

  • Support capital expenditure requests and associated business cases
  • Ad hoc tasks as and when required.

The profile

The successful candidate will need to obtain a professional accountancy qualification either ACCA/ CIMA or ACA

Possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to communicate to all levels.

Meticulous attention to detail and working to tight deadlines

Driving licence and mobility to work away from home (travel expenses will be reimbursed)

The Salary

£58,000 to £64,000 plus performance bonus up to 20%
