Job description

Regulatory Reporting Accountant - European Investment Bank - London - up to £60,000 + bonus

New Regulatory Accounting position, working for a top tier European Investment Bank in London. This role will have excellent exposure across the full set of regulatory returns, so would be ideal for someone who is looking to build a strong platform in prudential reg with a view to future progression.

You'll be working in a team that encourages learning and development, so don't worry if you haven't covered everything. This is a great step to get the broad exposure you need in the regulatory space.

The role will have two key areas of focus:

1. BAU Regulatory Reporting

  • This is the bulk of the role, making up roughly 75% of your time. This will involve the production and first line review of quarterly CRDIV COREP, Market risk, Large Exposures, ALMM, Basel III and statistical reporting.
  • You'll also be a key part of the team responsible for PRA submissions including PRA110, FSA017, FSA038 and MLAR.
  • You'll be involved in COREP returns and liaising with Ops and Treasury to manage liquidity and financial control.
  • Monthly regulatory packs inc ALCO and Board packs for the Head of Regulatory Reporting to review.

2. Change and Process Improvement:

  • Part of your role will be to pro-actively seek areas to improve in the regulatory accounting function. You'll focus on making necessary changes to the function in order to implement upcoming changes and analysing, planning and testing systems and processes.

You will be someone who has at least 1-2 years of experience within regulatory reporting. You will have built a solid understanding of how a regulatory accounting function works, and exposure to a certain number of reports. It's likely that you've built up a good base knowledge and now looking for a new environment where you can continue to develop, whilst not limiting yourself to only one area of reporting.

Previous knowledge in any areas of PRA110, ALMM, Large Exposures, Market Risk, MLAR or FSA017 will be of interest. You don't need to have done all of these, or even most, but you must have a desire to learn new things and a willingness to learn on the job.

This is a great role - very well suited to an ambitious regulatory accountant with the desire to work in a highly respected and well known investment banking group
