Sanction advisory - VP

A large global bank has a new hire withing their financial crime team. In this role you will be expected to work with both front office and back office, inclusive of legal providing sanctions advice.

Day to day you will:

• Advising on and providing risk management decisions in relation to customers and transactions
• Supervising and assisting the Sanctions Advisory team to achieve high quality risk management advice and output
• Supporting the Compliance through the provision of sanctions advice, training and advice on the application of sanctions regulatory developments

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• 4+ years sanctions 2LDO experience
• Be a true sanctions SME, ideally with some legal background or experience
• Deep understanding of UK sanctions legislation essential as well as experience of OFAC/EU sanctions regimes. Prior experience dealing with OFSI, OFAC or equivalent sanctions regulator an advantage
