Manager

£60,000 - £80,000 + Package

Location - Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham

Why this role matters

The Group Finance COE is a new function within Finance that is being established to help the Finance community maximise the value that we gain from our investment in SAP. This new function will lead the design, development and support of standardised SAC templates and dashboards that enable best in class reporting capabilities across the Finance organisation.

The focus of this role is to design and manage the development of new SAC reporting templates and dashboards.

You will be responsible for:

* Designing and managing the development of new standardised reporting templates and dashboards that support strategic decision making

· Managing stakeholder requirements and ensuring that the design of our new reporting templates and dashboards meets those requirements and delivers best in class reporting

You are:

· An experienced manager of SAC reporting design or development in a large organisation, with a strong track record of delivering efficient and effective reporting templates and dashboards

* A commercially astute SAP advocate, comfortable working with stakeholders to translate their reporting requirements into best in class SAC reporting templates and dashboards

* A technical specialist, who leverages their skills and experience to design and deliver SAP reporting capabilities that positively transform information delivery

What you'll be doing

· Designing and managing the development of standardised SAC reporting templates and dashboards that improve the level of reporting capability across Finance

· Being a vocal advocate for SAP reporting capability development and the value-add that can be achieved from an efficient and effective system-based SAP reporting approach

· Implementing best in class development practises to deliver flexible and versatile solutions

· Managing reporting development projects, and providing updates on progress, risks and issue resolution

· Working closely with Group and Unit Finance teams to ensure development of appropriate reporting templates and dashboards that meet reporting capability requirements

· Working closely with the Group Technology function to ensure appropriate support for new reporting template and dashboard development projects (e.g. managing requirements into Technology for changes in the underlying CFIN or BW data structures)

· Effectively managing stakeholder relationships across Finance and Technology to deliver SAP reporting development project initiatives

· Establishing robust checking and validation processes for reporting capability development with a zero-tolerance approach to technical error

· Maintaining sufficient understanding of current performance trends across in order to ensure reporting capability developments support key commercial challenges

The skills & experience you need

· Finance qualification (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)

· Strong hands-on technical skills in SAC (also AfO & BW)

· SAP reporting template and dashboard design experience

· Management of SAP reporting development projects

· Expert understanding of SAP reporting capability development best practice

· Brilliant stakeholder management and relationship building skills

· Strong presentation skills, in particular the ability to interpret and summarise complex technical proposals and solutions for non-technical and senior executive audiences

· Strong attention to detail with a zero-tolerance approach to technical error

· Solution driven, innovative, pace-setting and focused on commercial impact
