SAP Finance Cutover Lead (Merger experience) - 3 month contract

Our client requires a SAP Finance Cutover Lead to be based in Bucks on a 3 month contract. Currently within the programme there are business and system leads who are delivering changes for the new organisation. The role of the Finance Cutover Lead will be to prepare and manage a detailed cut-over plan to ensure a successful transition from existing systems & organisations to the client's new state.

What will you do?

  • Run workshops with functional teams to review design and assess cut-over requirements
  • Develop an integrated cut-over plan with milestones, activities, ownership, schedules and dependencies
  • Cut-over plan to include all finance operations: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, GL, Cash Bank & Treasury
  • Align plans with project team and overall programme.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across different organisations
  • Integrate cut-over with any training and post go-live support plans
  • Prepare the organisation for cut-over and ensure business readiness of all the pre-cut-over activities e.g. closing out all data migration tasks, balances, interfaces
  • Agree business freeze dates and interim business process plans
  • Manage cut-over risk and issues with mitigation / contingency plans
  • Monitor and track progress of the cut-over
  • Prepare visual aids, presentations and status reports for stakeholders.
  • Build post cut-over plan on resuming / starting activities in SAP including interfaces
  • Integrate plans with technical changes and user set-up and readiness
  • Ensure strong level of cut-over governance

What will you bring?

  • Experience of SAP end to end implementation as finance lead
  • Experience of building and managing a cut-over plan
  • Managed large projects (SAP) and experience of mergers and how they impact change.
  • Delivered cut-overs from a technical, business and organisation change perspective.
  • Consulting background
  • Project management qualifications.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to build trust and maintain stakeholder relationships and get buy-in
  • Problem-solver with ability to work collaboratively in evaluating root-causes and recommending solutions.
  • Experience of working with senior leadership teams and end-users
