SAP Release Manager

Our client requires a SAP Release Manager to be based at their offices in London on a 6 month contract

Main Responsibilities -

• Develop overall release plan, plan and communicate release windows within this overall plan
• Planning release windows and the overall release lifecycle
• Manage relationships and coordinate projects between different teams
• Managing risks that may affect release scope
• Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements
• Measure, monitor and report on release progress to technology leadership
• Ensure technical and organisational prerequisites are met for deployment at each stage gate (Build, SIT, BST and Go-live)
• Leading and driving Quality Assurance standards into the build through our partners
• Leading and driving the configuration of the build/test prior to release working with our partners across all disciplines to ensure dependencies and hurdles are met or overcome
• Manage interdependencies between activities of different teams i.e. data migration, environments, testing and deployment teams

Knowledge & Experience:

• Experience as an Enterprise Release manager, Integration Manager or similar role
• Experience in governing both waterfall as well as Agile/DevOps project lifecycles
• Managed multiple technology solution releases over multiple countries for a SAP based environment
• Supply chain experience. Preferably Manufacturing / FMCG.
• Multi Country / Multi-Vendor Programme management experience essential. (Knowledge of European ways of working advantageous and preferred)
• Greenfield / Start Up exposure would be beneficial but not essential.
• Must be a Self-Starter & articulate to C-Suite level.
• Strong Stakeholder management essential.
• Strong can-do and action orientation.
• Proven track record in delivering technology solutions in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment
