SAP SD (OTC) Functional Consultant

Purpose of role:

The Functional Solution Consultant (FSC) for Operations is responsible for ensuring that the solution design is optimized, fit for purpose and implemented/rolled out to defined geographies. Supporting Operational Excellence through standardisation/simplification of systems and enabling continuous improvement across Europe. Focused on the key OTC process chain and the primary integration points, supporting the end-to-end solution and process enablement. Candidate to be an integral part of the Sap implementation team, along with the chosen Systems Integrator, to build and deliver the solution, with responsibilities on requirements gathering and rationalization, design, functional and technical specs. Candidate supports the creation of project deliverables and complete key deliverables in accordance with the project plan timeline

Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include:

• Support the design of European Solution Template for Operations (OTC) so as to provide an adequate control environment and to maintain the integrity of the template
• Embed internal/external leading practices to standardise the solution and control design in line with solution standards and key principles across Operations, while ensuring local compliance requirements are not compromised
• Ensure Business Processes and Requirements are fully understood and aligned with the template
• Support there is optimal fit between people, process, technology and governance bringing a customer centric view and critique
• Support the upstream and downstream solution design within the functions outside Operations to drive end to end solution effectiveness and efficiency
• Instil a functional understanding of system capabilities being delivered and relating these back to business requirements
• Support the design and creation of selective prototypes to demonstrate usability of the system template
• Identify and address process pain points and areas for improvement
• Highlight issues to ensure solution integrity and efficiency to Functional Solution Lead.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the SAP product set and its strategic direction
• Supports that the solutions designed within the Strategy are successfully implemented and that the benefits associated with the different solutions are realised

Skills and Experience:

Key experiences:

• Bachelor's degree required
• 7-10 years Consultant experience in SAP Sales & Distribution and/or Retail & CAR
• Experience of large scale SAP implementations and transformation programmes
• Functional knowledge of SAP SD and/or Retail & CAR, and working experience with SAP S4 HANA
• Experience defining, implementing and rolling out solutions for SAP SD and/or Retail & CAR
• Experience of SAP implementations in a hybrid cloud architecture
• Ability to communicate functional requirements and provide implementation guidance
• Knowledge of the integration points with other modules
• Possess a solid understanding of AGILE development methodologies
• Experience in Business Process Re-engineering
• Ability to understand, explain and present technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels up to senior management in a persuasive and convincing manner
• Experience working for a multinational organisation and working with colleagues internationally and demonstrated mobility
• Demonstrable service industry knowledge - ideally with focus on food service industry
• Experience in a process-driven environment

• Experience working in a team onshore and offshore
• Demonstrated ability to deliver continuous improvement initiatives
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in English language and one other European language
