TITLE:
Scientist I/II - Functional Genomics, Genetic Sequencing - full-time, perm
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize iPSC cellular models and next generation sequencing technologies to advance their therapeutics research and discovery efforts
- Maintain mammalian cell cultures, utilize gene editing technologies to develop in vitro functional models and perform high-throughput scRNA-seq on pooled genetic perturbation screens
- Design, develop, execute and analyse experimental research projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- PhD in a relevant, scientific field
- Experience with hESC/hiPSC models of disease utilizing techniques such as differentiation, 2D and 3D cell culture and organoid cultures.
- Working knowledge in genomics technology (WGS, ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, RNA-seq, scRNA-seq) and with the use of liquid handling robotics (Hamilton, BioMEK, Tecan) for mammalian cell culture or NGS library preparation is preferred.
- Design and execution of iPSC studies and genetic screens (ie MPRA or STARR-Seq) for target identification and MOA characterization.
- Strong microscopy skills, including immunohistochemistry, 3D imaging, in situ hybridization, live cell imaging, and/or high content imaging.
