TITLE:

Scientist/Sr. Scientist - Synthetic Biology

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This organization will aggressively be building out their teams over the course of the next year and looking for the right mix of talent who have hands-on experience and can lead a team of Research Associates or more junior Scientists.

  • Lead projects that are optimizing to be able to move into pre-IND; move these projects according to the approved timelines and deliverables
  • Get up in front of senior partners and present data
  • Engineering T-Cells and generate new constructs

The Scientist/Sr. Scientist - Synthetic Biology, will be responsible for driving the development of their CAR-T platform and other cellular immunotherapies. This individual will also plan and execute in vitro assays using cellular immunological techniques.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • PhD degree coupled with post-grad experience, preferably some in industry
  • CAR-T and T cell experience; designing, constructing, and testing. Solid understanding of T cell biology required.
  • Experience in ELISA, multi-color flow cytometry, in vitro T cell activation and phenotyping, cytotoxicity assays, etc.
  • Knowledgeable with molecular cloning techniques

Desired Skill Sets:

  • Immunotherapy background
  • Demonstrated knowledge of genome editing and gene modulation techniques, sequencing techniques, and/or viral vector design
  • Experience in animal studies
