Senior Java Developer - City of London

My client requires a Senior Developer who is hands on and lives the agile values to lead the team and ensure code quality and adoption of devops tools and methodologies. This is a critical global initiative and the role will be high visibility, interfacing directly to our global head of EA, but must be elbow deep in the code.

Skills Required:

• Java & JEE
• XML, JSON and REST web services
• Spring framework, Hibernate, JavaScript
• Mediation technology such as Message Broker, WESB, WPS and message
  technology such as WMQ
• CI/CD pipeline, UnitTesting/Jenkins/Maven/Bitbucket and Docker
• Oracle and SQL
• DevOps implementation
• Agile delivery methodologies such as Scrum

Responsibilities:

• Design, code, test and debug enhancements to existing enterprise applications; understand the code base for existing applications and product and refactor as needed; design improvements.
• Own the CI/CD tool chain and roll out globally; keep CI/CD chain current by incorporating improvements, new tools and technologies on an ongoing basis.
• Create standards and guidelines on the use of global technologies, in particular
• API gateway, mediation, and messaging technologies
• New Tech Stack i.e. Javascript, Angular, Node.js
• Agile and DevOps delivery methodologies
