Location: Nottingham with hybrid and remote working model that is decided by you, there's no pressure to be 'in the office'

An Investigo partner and software house homed in Nottingham but with a reach across the globe are looking to double their development team size and capability whilst supercharging their technology over the next 5 years as part of a structured development roadmap. With several Senior Engineer roles available this particular role would suit Developers/Engineers with skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node and strong experience of building scalable and secure SaaS/PaaS applications; this would also suit someone looking to take the next step either into a Tech Lead role or leading a small team (in time). The next 5 years have an exciting product and application roadmap, from greenfield developments to reinvigorating platform functionality, UI refreshes, and a number of feature enhancements, all utilising a modern, cloud-based SaaS (Azure) technology stack.

You'll get to play a key hands-on, technical role in the evolution and continuing modernisation of several platforms, applications, and business/customer critical systems, this will involve everything from minor enhancements to full-scale application rebuilds to better leverage the tech for customers and make what they do even more accessible to customers - you'll also guide a skilled team in defining 'what good looks like'. This is a business who is passionate about high quality software development - you'll also have the opportunity to try new ways of working, bring new tech to the table and develop your own personal career through various professional training and development plans.

The technology is driven by Azure and powered by a modern blend of JavaScript, TypeScript and Node. Their ways of working follow the Agile model utilising a Scrum delivery model, and with a quality first mindset they use a TDD approach. It's important you and your team rely on quality code and not handing to testers.

So, what are we looking for?

• Hands-on technical experience building customer facing platforms using modern JavaScript (preferably JavaScript, TypeScript and Node but if you're not skilled across all then the opportunity to learn is there) but also good software development fundamentals;
• Experience working with reactive and complex cloud-based applications that service 0000's of users;
• Experience working in an Agile environment;
• A willingness to try something and make it work, along with someone who brings new ideas to the table.

In return you will receive a salary of up to £80,000 p/a plus a range of benefits inc. holidays, pension, health, and a variety of bespoke benefits that you can tailor to your needs.
