Job description
I am currently looking to speak to fully qualified accountants with considerable experience in Technology Accounting, Technology Finance or Business Partnering with a Tech or IT function with a sizeable cost base. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside the Head of Technology Finance at a Major Financial Services institution. This role Is based in the City of London and comes with a basic salary of £80-90k along with an excellent benefits package, bonus and work life balance!
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting a broad range of stakeholders and businesses across revenue lines of c£70m ( including software, hosting, connectivity) and a significant part of the Group's cost base c£300m, including a focus on the US which is a growing part of the COO cost base.
- Actively look for ways to support stakeholders and present opportunities across cost and revenue, working on strategic initiatives across the Technology Divisions and the entire Group.
- Take ownership of organic and inorganic opportunities which may include M&A, integration and divestment, support the shaping of the mid and long term strategy of the Division
- Accountable for ensuring that the cyclical deliverables for the Division; budgeting, monthly reporting and quarterly forecasts are delivered. Combining with the financial control team to ensure the delivery of these key financial outputs.
- Work effectively with the Financial Controller and team to ensure the Divisional reporting and accounting is to a consistently high standard and complies with accounting standards
- Deputise for Head of Finance when required supporting the CIO and the Technology leadership team
- Support the analysis of projects across Technology and other large initiatives across the Group assessing return on investment through business cases
- Support the reporting of the investment portfolio across the Group and up to the Investment Committee
Key Skills
- Excellent financial background, qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA
- Good understanding of Technology and the accounting for Technology including Technology trends; Proven track record in Business Partnering - Ability to influence senior management to consider key financial issues within the business; Ability to deal with complex issues and ambiguity, and implement practical and innovative solutions to problems; Excellent analytical background; Driver of change, constantly looking for improvements
- Effective oral and written communication that resonates with the target audience.
- Pro-active behaviour that demonstrates initiative and positive work ethic to ensure activities are delivered to time and to the highest standards.
