Job description

I'm currently working with a large FTSE 100 telecommunication company who are seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join the organisation and provide excellent strategic HR business partnering service to the technology client group.

The SHRBP's prime responsibilities will include leading a team of two Business Partners to support this client group of 500 employees and will both develop and deliver an integrated and solution focused people plan to support the business unit's ambitions. The post-holder will work successfully with business partners, HR Services and the Centre's of Expertise (CoE's) to deliver on the units objectives and at times co-create HR strategy, policy and process. Further responsibilities will include providing excellent HR consultancy, coaching and people leadership to deliver the best outcomes for the business they partner. Some of these duties will involve:

  • developing and implementing with the Head of HR's appropriate plans to deliver a people plan.
  • Improving capability, performance, talent and leadership in the business area in line with business goals.
  • To work across organisational boundaries, forming matrixed teams from the organisation's CoE's to deliver operational HR activities within the unit including; recruitment and development, performance management, employee relations, change management and resource planning
  • To support senior leaders to role model great leadership across their teams and support the right engagement outcomes

The successful postholder will have extensive HR Business Partnering experience gained by supporting Director and C-suite level stakeholders in strategic and commercial environments. Ideally your HR experience will have been gained in a Telco/Mobile/Media / Consumer Technology firms, or other Consumer-facing businesses that work on a subscription basis and demonstrate the ability to translate business strategy into HR plans and then execute against those plans, along with experience working within large matrix's. Additionally, the successful candidate will be CIPD Qualified, or hold an MBA, Degree or similar business qualification.
