Senior Management Accountant

Investigo are delighted to be supporting a Milton Keynes based division of a World Renowned Organisation with their recruitment of a Senior Management Accountant, on a permanent basis.

The role of Senior Management Accountant is essential to meeting the internal financial reporting requirements of the business, providing insight to financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Control Environment
  • Ensure that the monthly management accounts for the group are prepared in accordance with the stated internal controls and delivered within the published finance timetable.
  • To assist the Financial Accountant with the ongoing development of the business controls.
• Technical Accounting
  • To keep abreast of the current technical accounting changes and ensure that these are being applied at source to ensure the validity of the management accounts
  • Control the balance sheet reconciliation process to ensure all accounts are suitably explained within financial requirements
• Business Partnering
  • Be responsible within the finance team for divisional finance (including stock accounting, fixed assets), overhead accounting and balance sheet
  • Provide assistance to the Financial Analysis team so they are able to report sales and margin accurately
• SAP Super User
  • Take responsibility for all SAP matters relating to finance.
  • Provide training and assistance where required as well as preliminary investigation around system improvements
• Other
  • Assist with other matters as required to support the Group Financial Controller & Finance Team in particular day to day assistance with the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Banking processes.

The successful Candidate will be a Professionally Qualified individual with 3-5 years PQE, and a strong management accounting background. They will be an outgoing, self starter who is happy owning the full month end process. This role doesn't have any line management responsibility, but the Senior Management Accountant will be expected to support and coach junior members of the team day to day. Experience of SAP (preferably S4/Hana) would a huge advantage.

Our Client has ambitious growth targets over the next 18-24 months, and as such there is likely to be further opportunity to progress over this time.

A salary of £50,000 - £55,000 is being offered.
