Job description

Investigo are recruiting for a 6-month FTC Management Accountant to join a multinational business with excellent growth plans, that is based in Middlesex. The client is looking for a finalist/qualified professional who has excellent management accounting/business partnering and problem-solving skills.

The salary on offer stretches up to £45,000, commensurate with experience.

This could also offer a permanent solution, dependant on how the FTC progresses.

Responsibilities

  • To manage/compile/analyse and report all costs and revenues in respect of projects within the month end deadlines.
  • Actively challenge costing information (past, present and forecast) to ensure its robustness and integrity are plausible.
  • Assist in the production of all financial information required to update the accounts.
  • Manage/Control/Assist with all finance tasks not limited to the production of monthly financial management accounts and associated reports for submission to Group Finance for consolidation in line with Group reporting deadlines.
  • Ensure the integrity of the business unit P & L accounts including any balance sheet adjustments by way of cost scrutiny, planning to ensure all costs are allocated correctly, timely within the system parameters and can be fully substantiated.
  • Overseeing all billing processes and Ensuring all rechargeable maintenance is correctly recorded and billed to the customer.
  • Manage/Control/Assist with the process of budgeting & forecasting using bottom up budgeting to ensure we have comprehensive budgets in place that are open to challenge and will help to produce detailed management accounts
  • Control & compile all financial information for the monthly management meetings and business unit meetings and ensure the financial information is accurate and available ahead of the meeting.
  • Review month end journals and adhoc journals and ensure a monthly reconciliation between the General Ledger and the monthly contract sheet are done, investigating and resolving any variances.

Role requirements

  • Is qualified/finalist within a professional Accounting Qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Analytical, with a proven ability to interpret data effectively
  • Sound Accounting and Technical skills
  • Demonstrable competence in full contract accounting from both a balance sheet and P & L perspective
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and hard-working and will have a positive approach to challenges, thinking creatively to solve problems
  • Excellent attention to detail whilst maintaining the ability to see the big picture
  • The ability to prioritise work to ensure the work that adds highest value to the business is prioritised
  • Experience of working within a Commercial environment
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with others across the wider business
