Service Design & Transition Manager - SC cleared

A major law enforcement organisation are seeking a Service Transition Manager to join them on an initial 6-month inside IR35 contract, remotely then partly in London when circumstances allow.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• The post holder should carry a minimum of 5 years' experience of working in Service Management.
• The post holder must have a minimum of 8 years' experience of working within a public sector organisation and have knowledge of the Metropolitan Police.
• The post holder should be qualified in ITIL Service Transition and Service Design.
• The post holder should have experience of leading the Service Design and Transition on large programmes.
• The post holder must have experience in setting up the transition governance required to assure the delivery and output from the ICT Portfolio
• The post holder must hold active SC clearance (used within the last 12 months and in date).

The postholder shall:

• Develop service design across the portfolio
• Provide an assurance function, protecting the BAU estate and existing Service Management capability.
• Responsible for ensuring that the Service Operation is set up and in place.
• Own and write the Operational Working Agreement, defining the current responsibilities, service support processes and communications of all parties involved in the provision of services.
• Provide cross supplier Incident, Problem and Change process integration.
• Working closely with the process leads ensure requirements are met for handover of service.
• Assist in reviewing and approving the Migration Strategy.
• Manage internal and external stakeholder expectations.
• Understand, document and actively manage risks into service.
• Provide support to the Business Change functions, providing advice and guidance on implementation and deployment.
• Review project deliverables for quality and accuracy and enforcing standards.
• Capture and transfer lessons learned for ongoing Programme & Transition planning.
