Software Test Analyst

Location: Remote, Derbyshire HQ with infrequent travel as restrictions are lifted

Salary & Benefits: to £45,000 p/a plus a range of benefits inc. holidays, pension, health, and a variety of local benefits

Our client, a software house in Derbyshire is looking to double the digital team in size, growing from 6 to 12 over the next few months. We have two roles that would suit a Software Test Analyst with experience working on modern SaaS platforms. The next 18 months has a bundle of variety, from greenfield developments, changes, and enhancements to the existing platform and these roles are critical to ensuring that everything is delivered to the highest levels of quality.

You will play a key role in the next generation of their customer platform; joining their testing capability will see you help to shape how quality software is delivered and used thousands of customers daily. The day to day is testing and ensuring software quality and testing on both existing platforms and new developments, utilising the best in integrations and aiding the transformation of applications that do power their business. Their business is a highly technical environment, the head of technology even still gets involved when they can and is passionate about high quality software.

The technology is driven by Azure and powered by a modern blend of .Net. They work in an Agile team, utilising a Scrum delivery model, and with a quality first mindset they use a TDD approach. They are currently on a journey towards automation and having only started this over the last 12 months there is still plenty to be done,

So, what are we looking for?

  • End to end testing experience across a variety of platforms, desktop, web, cloud based software;
  • Experience writing test scripts from scratch;
  • Strong SQL skills;
  • A positive approach to solving complex problems;
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment.

Any notable experience working with test automation or any hands-on development skills would be hugely beneficial, as would either ISTQB/ISEB certification or an understanding of CI/CD and DevOps.

In return you will receive a salary up to £45,000 p/a plus a range of benefits inc. holidays, pension, health, and a variety of local benefits in the East Midlands.
