Job description

This role of the department is to provide the information technology tools that allow the business to function. The full technology function covers:

  • Design and architecture
  • IT operations
  • IT infrastructure
  • Supplier management
  • Systems development lifecycle
  • Information and cyber security
  • Policy development and maintenance
  • Technical Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning

The role:

  • The job holder will be directly involved in the development lifecycle of both internal and customer facing
  • Low code applications, including but not limited to:
    • Secure Design
    • Build
    • UAT
    • Deploy
    • Maintenance & BAU
    • API configuration and management
  • The key responsibility is to translate business processes into to effective, operational applications that can be deployed and supported in production. From time to time, this job holder will also be required to assist in documenting and creating business process modelling in cooperation with BA/PM teams.
  • The job holder is also responsible for the support and troubleshooting of deployed applications and will be supported by an infrastructure team that will support these applications.
  • The job holder will be expected to conduct knowledge transfer of deployed applications to the relevant teams and provide demonstrations to stakeholders on work produced.

Experience Required:

  • Low Code application development, ideally within a financial services organisation.
  • Experience in development and deployment of applications in:
    • Web Development
    • Mobile Development
    • User Interface and Accessibility
  • Experience with Liberty Create (previously known asMatsSoft/MATS) or similar Low Code environment (Appian,Outsystems,Bizagi,AppWay, etc.)
    • Significant knowledge of:
    • Business & Process Modelling
    • Developing External & Internal Web Pages
    • Customer Communication Solutions
    • Database Concepts and Architecture
    • Common API and integration patterns
    • Web Security
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum and Test-driven development methodologies
  • Understanding and appreciation of underlying technologies/languages including: HTTP/CSS/JS/TLS/JSON
  • And awareness of security concepts including: OWASP/CSP/HSTS/HPKP
  • Degree level qualification in a relevant field desirable.
