TESTER/AIRWAVE RADIO NETWORK/CONTRACT/ 6 MONTHS

I have a 6 month contract available for a Tester, to be part of a successful Testing Team on a new exciting programme. Please apply if you have experience within government emergency services programmes. The role includes 2 days remote working from home.

Please only apply for this role if you have experience working with Airwave Radio Networks, and extensive knowledge of Tetra and Mobile Data, within an end to end managed service.

The main purpose of the role is for the Tester to support the Test Manager, to ensure the delivery meets the suppliers expectations and requirements specified within various contract schedules.

The successful candidate will assist with various test phases and assurance activities relating to test processes enticing new programmes. The role includes the support during the various Test phases and ensuring adherence to agreed test structure and agreed policies, for the new programme.

The role included carrying out assessments and audits on specific areas of supplier delivery. Along with the support and advise Trusts with all aspects concerning Testing of the deliveries.

Essential:

  • Experience of working on government emergency services programmes
  • Experience of working with Blue Light Services
  • A minimum of 3 year's experience in testing communication technologies in an operational environment.
  • Experience of supporting the delivery of multiple projects in a programme management environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills; maintaining methodical and accurate record keeping and systems Essential Application/IV Proficient in MS Windows, Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Visio & Internet Explorer with advanced keyboard skills.
  • Ability to clearly define the test scripts and linking them to the requirements
  • Ability to clearly define the issues/defect raised along with evidence to support for issue resolutions.
  • Knowledge of testing processes and an understanding of how this fits within an overall project life cycle .

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day to day test activities within specific test phases. Including test planning and scheduling
  • Proofing test scripts, plans and specifications.
  • Assisting on production of test scripts, plans and specifications
  • Executing test scripts
  • Monitor test progress and maintain a central record of all defect reports raised and signed off during testing.
  • Issue reports on the state of the testing to the Test Manager.
  • Ensure all defects raised are quality assured
  • The post holder will operate with an excellent working knowledge of the concepts, practices and procedures of configuration management and testing processes following industry standards ISO 29119 and ISO 9001 quality management
  • Lead testing and issue resolution and tracking in line with the Programme Configuration and Testing Strategies.
  • Understands the role of Document Management and Change Control in implementing Configuration Management and Testing
  • Perform system testing within a well-managed and controlled testing environment to ensure data integrity
  • Co-ordinate and perform User Acceptance Testing with clinical and administrative representatives of the service
  • Raise issues and control the defect management tracking process
  • Produce and distribute test reports to the Test manager
  • Know how to build strong and effective relationships with stakeholders as well as colleagues in Programme work streams.
