Job description

My client, a Financial Services firm is seeking to engage the services of a Contract Manager to oversee and manage and be the 'go to' person for all matters relating to this contract, to ensure contractual obligations are met, to provide management data relating to the contract and vendor performance, and to act as the conduit between Technology, Vendor Mgmt. Office, and the vendor.

Role Responsibilites:

  • A commercially astute individual with a background in Procurement and Contract Management
  • Responsible to ensure the vendor does not deviate from contractual obligations, hold the vendor to account, and mitigate any deviation
  • Responsible for the contract lifecycle management tool and senior mgmt. information and reporting
  • Responsible for developing a contract change log where all changes or proposed changes are recorded, and impact assessed throughout the contract term and the transformation program
  • Responsible for managing the third-party contract engagements to ensure the full awareness of the obligations of all parties and that these obligations are pro-actively managed

Experience:

  • 10 years+ experience in managing complex contracts
  • Significant practical experience working on large commercial contracts
  • Experience working with a Contract Lifecycle Management tool
  • Significant experience working with a third party to deliver against a fixed price contract
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience. Demonstrates a detailed understanding of the difference between the objectives of internal and external parties
  • Expert at navigating the detailed governance requirements of a highly regulated organisation
  • Highly experienced delivering in a Three Lines of Defence model having daily interaction with the Second Line
  • Excellent communication skills with practical experience of supporting technical teams engage effectively with third parties while maintaining the commercial position
  • Experienced in creating well-structured and good quality project documentation with excellent skills in the use of the MS Office suite of tools
