Job description

Investigo are recruiting a 3month WIP Controller role for a large-scale Multinational Marketing company, based in central London. They are looking for an immediately available candidate and the daily rate on offer stretches from £200 - £250.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and analyses client project finances
  • Undertakes regular project WIP reviews with account management teams
  • Issues client invoices and monitors client purchase order spend
  • Understands and monitors balance of accrued and deferred revenue and work in progress (WIP)
  • Proactively reduce these balances and escalate issues to WIP Manager
  • Accounts receivable follow-up and liaising with credit control team to ensure minimal bad debt
  • Ensures completeness and accuracy of backup documentation for revenue recognition and billing, including PO, client approval and purchasing contacts where applicable
  • Prepares month-end reconciliations of balance sheet accounts such as accrued revenue, deferred revenue and client billing
  • Looks after and manages the projects lifecycle in SAP
  • Work with auditors - gathering and providing necessary information
  • Ad hoc analyses as required
  • Maintains and develops knowledge of regulatory environment and industry and evaluates agency financial processes and controls

Role requirements

  • Fully Qualified/QBE or Finalist level with experience operating at a Project Accountant, WIP Controller or Finance Assistant level
  • You will be a result driven, proactive and highly organised self-starter
  • We are ideally looking for experience of working within a marketing/advertising/creative agency or similar industry
  • Proven record in transferring financial and commercial processes and roles between locations
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and hard-working and will have a positive approach to challenges, thinking creatively to solve problems
  • Excellent attention to detail whilst maintaining the ability to see the big picture
  • Ability to think ahead and anticipate issues and solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with senior members of the Group and remote Finance teams
