Job description

My client, a rapidly growing firm on the outskirts of Reading are recruitment for a progressive accounts assistant on a permanent basis.

Hybrid working (First three months in the office for training purposes)

Flexible working hours - Flexible working starting any time between 08.00 to 10.00 with a 7.5 hr working day (37.5 hours a week)

Your responsibilities will include, for your allocation of clients:

  • Post sales and purchase invoices
  • Manage accounts payable mailboxes
  • Supplier payment runs
  • Customer and supplier queries, and client queries related to accounts receivable and payable
  • Bank account reconciliations
  • Day to day basic bookkeeping
  • Provide excellent customer service

To be Successful in the Role

If you can demonstrate the following skills and experience, we can help you grow and develop:

  • Accounts payable/receivable and basic bookkeeping experience
  • Confident using Microsoft (Outlook, Excel) and the ability to pick up new systems (Xero and Dext)
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships
  • Work effectively as part of a team
  • Solid attention to detail
  • Organised and a problem solver
  • Flexibility, with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work under time pressure and to tight deadlines
