Management Accountant - Bedford/Hybrid - Up to £45,000 + Study Support


A dynamic and forward-thinking organisation based in Bedford is seeking a Part Qualified Management Accountant to join their welcoming and motivated team.


As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in their finance team, providing essential support in financial analysis, reporting, and management. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for a Part Qualified Finance professional with a strong academic background and a drive to further their career in management accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely management accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis, providing insights to support decision-making processes.

  • Utilise your expertise in double entry bookkeeping principles to maintain accurate financial records and journals.

  • Conduct regular reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies to ensure financial integrity.

  • Collaborate with the finance team to facilitate smooth month-end and year-end close processes, contributing to timely reporting cycles.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial performance, highlighting trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiency gains within the finance function.

  • Actively work towards completing your ACCA/CIMA or AAT qualification, leveraging study support provided by the company.

Requirements:

  • Part Qualified Finance professional with a Finance Degree.
  • Working towards ACCA/CIMA or AAT qualification.
  • Proficient in double entry bookkeeping principles.
  • Strong understanding of balance sheets and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
