Job description

I am working with a successful Property company to bring on a Management Accountant.

This is an exciting opportunity for a keen individual to get involved in a lot of different activities across the business, including end to end management of your own entities.

  • Salary: Up to £55,000 DOE
  • Location: City of London
  • Hybrid: Typically on site, with flexible working available

What can you expect?

  • Assuming complete responsibility for reconciling Trial Balances of specific subsidiaries, ensuring monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet and income statement nominal ledgers, as well as support during year-end audits.
  • Compiling monthly and quarterly management accounts.
  • Supporting the existing AP/AR functions.
  • Monthly/Quarterly management account reporting for the relevant business entities.
  • Providing quarter-end variance analysis between actual and forecast.
  • Support in the year-end audit, coordinating with auditors as necessary.
  • Aid in providing information to the group's tax advisors for statutory accounts and tax returns preparation.
  • Posting journals including WIP adjustments, VAT journals, monthly payroll journals and cash journals.
  • Monthly importing of transactions from specialised business area systems.
  • Support in establishing annual overhead and office budgets. Review these expenses monthly/quarterly, providing analysis and commentary on actual costs versus budget.
  • Foster and sustain strong relationships with non-finance colleagues, offering regular, insightful analysis of expenditure compared to budget allocations.

What skills can you bring?

Skills - Essential

  • Part Qualified/Finalist ACCA or CIMA.
  • Existing Management Accountant with property industry experience of at least 2 years (preferable).
  • Experience with finance software (Access Dimensions and MRI preferable).
  • A self-starter, organised and attentive to detail. Drives continuous self-improvement.
  • Proven track record of being able to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Actively monitors time frames and milestones to ensure timely completion of deliverable.
