Accounts Assistant

Accounts Assistant - up to £25,000 (potential Study Support) - based in Milton Keynes (although WFH currently)

*The role would suit somebody early in their accountancy career , who has knowledge around double entry book keeping - AAT studiers desirable ) , someone who is looking for the next step , to develop in their chosen career

Job duties - an overview

• Responsibility for all aspects of fixed asset accounting, including tax and statutory reporting
• Responsibility for all financial aspects of the stock module, including reconciliations, write-offs and provisions
• Oversight of weekly payrolls managed by third parties, posting of payroll journals and organisation of weekly payments
• Posting of journals at period end
• Review of all live projects monthly, using information provided by the Project Managers to ensure that project forecasting is accurate and that revenue is recognised correctly
• Responsibility for the monthly Sales and Cost of Sales forecast
• Responsibility for the upload of budget and forecast
• Provision of cover for ledger staff
