Job description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable Manager to join a world-renowned, premium brand with a reputation for quality, innovation, and global reach.

You'll lead a talented AP team, streamline processes, and play a pivotal role in system implementation for the first 3/4 months - tackling challenges, driving improvements, and keeping BAU running smoothly.

  • Hybrid - 3 days in the office, 2 from home
  • Location - London
  • Salary - £60,000 + bonus

What can you expect?

  • Manage a team of 3, overseeing daily activities.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure the team receives the right support and training.

  • Own departmental KPIs, driving continuous improvement.

  • Oversee processing and payment of invoices annually, ensuring correct authorisation and timely payment.

  • Manage daily bank reconciliations, AP cashflow forecasts, and AP ledger reconciliations across multiple ledgers.

  • Review and approve supplier setups, bank details, and payment runs in Workday.

  • Reconcile intercompany invoice statements and support new business initiatives.

  • Lead post-implementation optimisation of the AP function.

  • Manage employee expense claims, corporate credit card spend, and staff purchase recoveries, ensuring compliance with policy.

  • Prepare and submit biannual Payment Practices reports.

  • Respond to internal/external audit queries, including IT audits.

What skills will you bring?

  • Minimum 3+ years' experience as an AP Manager.

  • Experience in influencing and shaping an AP function post-system implementation (essential).

  • Essential: 10+ years' AP ledger experience.

  • Proven track record in a similar industry.

  • Proven leadership ability

  • Skilled in managing, coaching, and developing teams

  • Able to balance hands-on involvement with strategic planning and process improvement
