Job description

Purchase Ledger Team Leader - Bedford - Up to £40,000

(Predominantly office based due to the nature of the organisation. 1X from home per week)

We leading organisation based in Bedford is seeking a proficient Purchase Ledger Supervisor to oversee our accounts payable process. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage a team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the purchase ledger team.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Review and improve existing processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.

Requirements:

  • MUST have experience managing a small to medium sized team to be considered.
  • Will have worked within a fast paced environment ideally working for a Construction, Manufacturing organisation (or an industry similar).
  • Leadership and team management experience essential.
  • AAT/ACCA/CIMA Qualification desirable but by no means essential.
