Assistant Accountant

Investigo are working alongside a growing energy organisation in London. This role is a newly created role due to an uplift in volume over the last 12 months. This role will be a hybrid position, with two days working remotely.

Key responsibilities/accountabilities

• Posting month end journals
• Preparing prepayment and accruals schedules
• Assisting with period-end activities and the Opex/Capex Analysis process
• Review of expense coding and preparing corrections
• Producing various reports for inclusion in the month-end and year-end files
• Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
• Assisting in response to audit queries
• Updating various power point presentations
• Providing support to other Finance team members and stakeholders as required
• Any other ad hoc duties in relation to the preparation of the Management Accounts or control procedures of the Finance Team

Personal Specification

• Part qualified accountant
• Accounting experience in a similar role
• Intermediate excel skills
• SAP is an advantage
• Able to work well under pressure with demonstrable ability to meet tight/strict deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
• Self-motivated with positive, can-do attitude
