Job description

The Organisation
You will be joining a market-leading Technology business as their Assistant Accountant on a full-time, permanent basis. Part of a large finance team of ten, you will be reporting directly into the Financial Controller, who will be on hand to fully support your training, onboarding, progression and development. Based in their very modern City of London office 2-3 days a week, you will have the option to work from home for the remaining days.

The Role
In your new role, you will be responsible for weekly payment runs, bank reconciliations, processing CHAPS/BACS payments, supporting with month-end close activities (including accruals, prepayments, journals) and monthly/quarterly reporting. You will assist in preparing the monthly management accounts pack, alongside the Senior Management Accountant and support with adjustments and commentary. You will be responsible for analysing/reviewing the P&L and balance sheet reconciliations.

Role Requirements
In order to succeed in this role, you will need to have at least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, with prior exposure to a finance software such as Xero, SAP, Sage or NetSuite, and be confident with the use of Excel to an intermediate level (vlookups, pivot tables, SUMIFs). You will be a proactive, enthusiastic, willing and self-motivated individual with a clear passion for your chosen career pathway. You will be actively studying towards a further qualification (ACCA/CIMA). You will be a team player with a keen eye for detail and the confidence/maturity to liaise with stakeholders at all levels within the business.

You will receive an annual salary of up to £40,000 + study support + benefits and this package will be regularly reviewed to remain in line with market rate.
