Assistant Finance Manager

Investigo are currently partnered with a well known construction firm in central London as they look to hire an Assistant Finance Manager.

Working in a team of twelve you will be an integral part of the commercial finance team that supports our construction business.

Example tasks:

• Build and manage relationships with project commercial managers at each project
• Working alongside the Commercial Director to close out month-end reporting and produce financial reports
• First point of contact for finance for areas of responsibility
• Issuing project statements and reviewing monthly CVRs, challenging commercial managers on assumptions/accounting treatment where necessary
• Reconciling various balance sheet accounts, as well as subledgers and intercompany balances
• Troubleshooting new finance system issues
• Reviewing and reporting overheads each month and accruing costs where necessary
• Responsible for year-end audit packs and liaising with our auditors on area of responsibility
• Monthly forecasting and analysis comparing to budget/prior month forecast
• Monthly cash-flow reporting and forecasting
• Sector resource reporting and project/staff data control
• Working with Group finance teams to ensure accurate and timely information in both directions
• Communication of any tangible perceived risk for each sector of responsibility
• Provision of ad hoc reporting and analysis as required by management

The successful applicant will have:

• Newly qualified ACA or equivalent
• Oracle Cloud experience preferred
• Construction industry experience desirable but not essential
• Strong IT skills and a confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, even when under pressure
• Ability to prioritise workload
