Management Accountant (part qualified)
£35k - £40k

Previous experience in Hospitality or Retail
Investigo are recruiting for an experienced, part qualified Management Accountant for a very successful and rapidly expanding restaurant group, who have impressive growth plans over the next 18 months.
You will be working alongside another management accountant and also working closely with the Financial Controller. You will be focussing on streamlining and improving processes. You will have advanced excel skills, have multi-site experience, be a problem solver, deadline driven, tech savvy and have excellent attention to detail. If you have experience with Sunsystems or Cognos TM1 this is an advantage.
The core responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Daily & Weekly reporting on revenue and margins
- Preparation of timely and accurate Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Posting recharges between group companies and regular reconciliations of the intercompany accounts
- Reporting on new site pre-opening costs and capex spend
- Assistance with raising a low volume of ad hoc sales invoices
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly VAT returns
- Continuous improvement & automation of controls & processes
- Assistance with the year end audit as required
- Ad hoc business partnering & analysis as required
Candidate specification:
- Around 5 years' experience in a previous management accountant role
- Part-qualified or studying (AAT / CIMA / ACCA) or qualified by experience (QBE)
- Experience within the Retail / Hospitality sectors is an advantage
- Multi-site experience
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong Excel skills, both functional & presentational
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders across the business, to provide financial information and insight to support business decisions
- Knowledge of SunSystems, Q&A & Cognos TM1 is desirable but not essential
