Assistant Management Accountant

I am partnering with a leading global business based in Welwyn Garden City that are currently looking for a bright and ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join their successful team.

Salary: up to £33,000 plus study support

Flexible working: 3 days in the office, 2 from home

Responsibilities:

• Preparing management accounts and working with the Senior Management Accountant
• Coordination of year-end financial statement audits, leading coordination with auditors and internal teams for the group's international subsidiaries, including preparation of financial statements
• Monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for key financial areas in the management accounts including variance analysis and commentary
• Upload of month end acquisition entity results and analysis of monthly results, liaising with the acquisition finance teams as required
• Liaison with international subsidiaries to ensure local finance teams are supported to meet month end commitments
• Supporting the Finance Manager with ad-hoc projects including monitoring financial processes and controls and identifying opportunities for improvements as the business scales

Experience required:

• Studying / desire to study for a recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
• Minimum 1-2 years experience working within a Finance team in a high-volume environment.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and a desire to drive improvements in a fast-paced and pioneering business.
• Excellent numeracy and IT skills including strong Excel with a thorough attention to detail.
