Job description


A leading Global Biopharmaceutical Company is looking for an accomplished Associate Director to be responsible for developing and executing a publications strategy for products in assigned therapeutic areas. You will also function as an independent leader for several programs as assigned by your area Director.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement publications plans for the assigned products
  • Execute on the publication deliverables, producing high quality and impactful media including manuscripts, posters, presentations and slide decks
  • Oversee the publication plan throughout its execution, ensuring timeliness and accuracy
  • Develop and implement educational plans to communicate important information to the wider medical and scientific community
  • Cooperate with external stakeholders involved in the process on produced material
  • Identify appropriate presentation and publications forums for the clinical data
  • Interpret scientific literature for internal stakeholders of the company, including assessments produced by competitors



You will need the following:

  • PhD, PharmD or MD
  • 5+ years of relevant commercial experience, preferably from within the pharmaceutical industry or within a publications / medical communications agency
  • Established experience working within publications planning and implementation
  • You will need to demonstrate excellence in personal communication, scientific analysis, planning and organization
  • Strong content development and project management expertise across a range of medical educational and training materials
  • Direct report/supervisory experience is a plus
